Finnair is a network airline specialised in flying passengers and cargo between Asia and Europe. We fly to 17 destinations in Asia, four in the United States and over 70 destinations in Europe.
For people in Finland, we want to offer the best possible flight connections to the world, whereas to people travelling between Asian megacities and Europe, we want to offer the smoothest and fastest connections in the northern hemisphere via Helsinki. The geographical location of Helsinki gives us a competitive advantage: the shortest connections between Asia and Europe go over Helsinki. In addition, our Helsinki Airport hub is an exceptionally great point to connect for your next flight.
Our customer experience
We want to offer our customers a unique Nordic experience. This shows in the fresh interior of our flagship Airbus A350 XWB, Business Class menus emphasising our Nordic roots, the design of Finnair lounges, our user-friendly digital services and the punctuality and reliability of our operations.
We are the only airline in Northern Europe holding a 4-star Skytrax rating, and we are a member of oneworld, the alliance of the world's leading airlines committed to providing the highest level of service and convenience to frequent international travellers.
Our plans
We started our operations in 1923. We are one of the safest and longest-operating airlines in the world. At the moment, we are investing in accelerated growth. Our objective is to double our Asian traffic by 2020 from the 2010 level.
