8. Build and nurture partnerships

R-BAG GROUP climate protection principals

Climate protection principles of R-BAG GROUP are defined in the seven pillars that address both our own internal day by day activities and ecosystems of our offices and also includes stakeholders and partners.

1 – Reducing Energy Consumption

We encourage R-BAG teams to practice lower consumption of energy by wise office behaviour. Simple actions like turning off the lights in the office in the evening, slightly lowering the heating or the air conditioning or taking devices off the plugs when it’s not needed are the actions that have direct impact on our savings of the energy.

2 – Reduced Waste

Another way we reduce the climate footprint of a business is in common efforts to reduce the amount of waste generated.

Disposable cups, stirrers, and capsules for the coffee are highly recommended to be avoided. Paper is reused for drafts by everyone in the office and initial practice is driven by top management team. All waste is segregated and disposed accordingly.

3 – Optimized Employees’ Transportation

Transportation optimisation is spreader into 3 options:

  • bicycle transportation for those who live the nearest to the office
  • car-pool for the team-members living in same district
  • train public transportation as preferred choice to contribute to the lower CO2 emission.
  •

4 – Choose Greener Infrastructures and Equipment

We choose more environment-friendly infrastructures and equipment. In this way, our company operates with fleet of hybrid vehicles. When the time comes to buy new printers, air conditioners, laptops, screens, bulbs or office materials, if the old ones can’t be fixed, we choose the most efficient (energy-wise) and sustainable (regarding the origin or manpower ethical standards) ones.

5 – Choose Sustainable Suppliers

R-BAG takes responsibility regarding the partners we choose. Choosing a supplier is also an environmentally-friendly choice (or not, depending on the

supplier). Therefore, to request environment protection policies or certificates is a standard part of our partner selection process.

6 – Raise Awareness Among Employees, Clients and Other Stakeholders

We actively take part in the in-house contests, hackathons and campaigns to raise and improve awareness on sustainability issues. Partner with outside organizations to do something original, unique, powerful and that stays top of mind.

These small gestures gradually create the ground for best practices that overall aviation community then reproduce with friends and at home transmitting the attitude to the next generations

7 – Promote Environmentally Friendly Ways of Working

In R-BAG we believe that some ways of working are more ecological than others: telecommuting, for example, has many ecological advantages. One can also consider video conferences that avoid employees traveling by car for meetings with clients.

Paperwork also has a strong environmental impact, as does computer work and the Internet because of servers. Sometimes, avoid to copy an entire company in an e-mail that only concerns one department can save a lot of CO2 emissions.
